There's something to be said for Mitch McConnell having his "What, Me Worry?" moment. He ain't running, that would impress Alfred E. Neuman.
Only time will tell if they'll get over it or not. Mitch might be right, they always have in the past. Every Republican president since Reagan has wrecked the economy but we keep bringing them back for super valid reasons like welfare mothers or trans kids or another classic Democrat circular firing squad.
But 100,000 hillbillies losing health insurance might be a bridge too far for some. That'll have ripples. An upright Republican reminds us that we're all going to die so ultimately it's no big deal. I'm not sure if that wins any votes in the midterms.
Mitch may not be running anymore, but every House seat is up in '26 and all Kentucky Republicans but one voted for the tax bill. That one didn't vote for it because it didn't cut Medicaid enough.
What's most important to this country at this moment, according to the party that controls every branch of government, is giving millionaires and billionaires and corporations tax cuts. And the deficit. So for each millionaire to get their cut, 15-16 hillbillies need to be kicked off Medicaid.
The good news is there'll be fewer doctors, clinics and hospitals in the mountains so more road trips!
I thank god every single morning for giving me Mad Magazine in my youth so I'd be ready for times like this in my later years. Getting over it isn't half as fun as getting even.
Just remember, the party that once talked about the shining beacon on the hill burned it down and ran for a bunker deep in a dark forest. They couldn't stand the idea of diversity, equity, and inclusion so grabbed hold of division, envy and ignorance.
Masked hoodlums in unmarked vans raid worksites, kidnapping innocent people indiscriminately, hauling them to for-profit cages owned by the guy running ICE. It took me a while to realize they'd deputized the Ku Klux Klan. Badges? They don't need no stinking badges!
A completely unqualified very rich individual is running the...well all the departments. Soon we'll lose vaccinations, scientific research and national parks because those are things no one would have suggested gutting under Obama. We're sticking it to the libtards.
The stable genius just bombed another country for apparently no real reason other than to deflect attention from the steaming pile of idiocy perpetrated by his administration daily. His "total annihilation" of Iranian nuclear facilities only set them back 3 months according to his own intelligence service.
His response was "they don't know what they're talking about". U.S. intelligence is incompetent says the president of the U.S. Not because they're wrong, but because they're off-script.
There's a lot of rumbling amongst the MAGA these days. Seems a lot of people are surprised a person who lies with every breath would lie about (pick one) not cutting medicaid, not getting into another war, not adding to the deficit. You get the idea. When I hear these comments, I'm reminded shock therapy in the right hands can have amazing results.
Just ask Mitch. They'll get over it.
